Patricia is a cheerful young lady who wanted to try her hand at modelling. Being it was her first photoshoot, she had no idea what to expect. Hair and makeup was kept simple to appeal to her natural features. When building up your portfolio, it's good to be shown as a blank canvas so that people can visualize you in their designs.
Outdoor Portrait
Gather your confidence and book an outdoor session while the weather is still with us!
Moe wanted an approachable garden green background and we found the perfect spot for that just across the bridge from the studio. The alleyway shades the sun while still emitting a gentle natural glow on the skin (extra golden effects happen when you shoot during or around sunset time!). Don't hesitate to ask us if you have any questions regarding to when and where is ideal for your session.
Self Styled Fashion Package
Gracia was looking to book a fashion photoshoot for herself to get into modelling. Since she is a university student on a budget, we suggested for her to book a self styled package, where she was able to get a discounted rate by bringing in her own wardrobe as well as doing her own hair and makeup. She did however mention she wanted make up services, so we simply adjusted her package price to suit her needs. She was a very kind and gentle person with such a lovely personality, we wish her only success!
Fashion Portrait
Chloe is an aspiring model/actress who booked our Short Fashion Package aiming to get a couple nice photos for her portfolio. It was her first time shooting in a professional environment, so she was also testing out the whole process to see if it suits her, or if acting is more up her alley. Based on her reference photos, we prepared a low key casual look using a crisp relaxed fit shirt, slim cigarette jeans with a loose hem, paired with cozy peep toe pumps. Whatever path you end up going down, we wish you success Chloe!
Professional Headshot
Uno is a hair stylist specializing in bridal services. Although she's been in need of a headshot for her website for some time now, the being the subject of the camera was intimidating enough to make her procrastinate on finding a photographer. She was camera shy, so we warmed up and narrowed down whether she wants a more characteristic portrait or something more clean and conservative. A quick 20 minutes later, she walked away from a (relatively!) painless experience with 2 headshots she was confident with.
Portrait Session
Sydney got styled in a neutral colour palette, inspired by the tones of her freckles and milky brown hair. Denim added a nice casual touch, and the off white colour made the piece blend in with out distracting the viewer's eye. We started off with lighter makeup, and added darker inner liner as the shoot went on for an edgier look.
Professional Fashion Headshots
We had our set painted a creamy caramel brown for a stylish portrait session the other day. Hannah clothing was selected purposefully to evoke earthy warmth. We selected compatible colours and had our artist add the right amount of red on her lids. We even added a touch of red in the editing process and in the shadows to kick it up a notch.
Studio Portrait
Throwback to our session with Mark, who came in for a Standard Package aiming to get a couple nice photos he could share with his family (since he had just graduated from the University of Guelph!) We recommended he shoot on our textured grey background, which added a subtle character thats's perfect for that graduation vibe. Since portraits are usually gentler than headshots, coloured clothing is often preferred as it contains nice emotional content. Of course not all colours are made equal, thats why we help on the spot to decide which variation would look best next. Feel free to ask us questions before hand, or bring your whole wardrobe!
