Whisk away with by adding a touch of wind to your portrait. Wind gives the portrait a looser more organic feeling, being that you let your hair go care free. Michelle came in with a vision for her maternity shoot and sought it through with our help, even though she was practically weeks away from delivery! She had planned for the whole shoot to be in Black & White—a great minimalist choice where she aimed for a strong silhouette based look.

What an adorable snap from a recent family photoshoot! When it’s wintery outside, we coop up in our cozy studio and welcome many families this holiday season to our set. Find your best angle and get professionally lit (not to mention polished in photoshop!) for memories of your best self. Let us know what size you’d like your file outputted for crisp and precise prints available—a great idea for a Christmas gift!

Here’s an adorable snap from a family photoshoot we had the other week. Though they originally aimed for an array of ugly Christmas sweaters, the frantic holiday season got the best of them and they ran out of time to prepare all the outfits. In a pinch, they opted for a down to earth casual, what I like to call the “Tommy Hilfiger” look, which let’s be honest, always looks great on camera. Clean and classic wins the race—every time.

Throwback to this family portrait session we had where we captured cute little Mia getting ready for her first day of “real” school. She looks very calm in this photo but she was so energetic the entire time. Most of the photoshoot we spent prepping her energy for the camera by playing together on set with bubbles, pom poms—even Tickle me Elmo made an appearance!

We met Rene and his family the other day, who made the trek from all different ends of the city to get their portrait taken. It was something that Rene had wanted to do for a while, so they were happy to have found a day that worked with everyone's busy schedule. They ended up ordered large sized prints of a few of the photos, so we made sure to take extra care in the editing process, so there would be no distracting bits of dust and hair visible when enlarged.

Beryl is turning 90 this year and she came to our photo studio to get her portrait taken. She got the standard package which gave her 3 variations. She ordered all the images to be printed in 8 x 10 format so that she could use them as a gift for her son. Though she wasn't fond of having her picture taken, she was happy we could make the process easy for her. She forgot to get her roots touched up for our session so she asked if we could colour her hair in photoshop. It was no problem for us to make it look natural of course!

Here are a couple of our favourites from an Exclusive Group Session the other day, where we had Andrea come in for a family portrait. She was aiming to get photos that she could make prints of later as a gift for her Mother's birthday. We chose the grey background because it has more depth to it, making it more suitable for more emotional portraits.
