Headshots and Portrait for Corporate and Business

Professional Business and Corporate Headshots:

/ / / / / environmental background

No matter the weather, if your photoshoot takes place in the afternoon, we can arrange to have your portrait against our character window. The studio building is over 100 years old, which means it will undeniably add some visual interest to your headshot.

The viewer’s eye is able to relax looking at things other than the face in the photowhereas on a clean studio background, there’s no distractions and therefore more emphasis on the face. Not to say focusing the face is a bad thing when it comes to headshots, however from the subject’s point of view a window background could soften the portrait just to their liking.

For best results we recommend booking our Corporate/Business Package—trying an environmental background for your first option followed by a simple studio background for the second look. Compare and contrast the same outfit on two backgrounds, or change things up completely!

Professional Headshots for Real Estate Agents:

/ / / / /

We often get asked if we shoot realtors specifically, and the short answer is—yes ! When it comes to realtor portraits, we follow the same lighting principles as we do for our LinkedIn headshots. We understand that as a real estate agent, you may be looking for more than 1 photo of yourself to use fo various marketing purposes whether it be online print media.

That’s why we always suggest that if you have a particular pose or concept in mind, that you pitch us the ideas beforehand so we may be best prepared to get the shots you need. We’ve had clients bring in props, signs, request full body or even have clipping service done on all of their images (as requested by their graphic designer).

Corporate and Business Professional Headshots:

/ / / / / thunder grey background for your portrait

Though it might be your tendency to lean towards a light background (and we see it especially more so in women) our thunder grey could be the background of your dreams!  Plus we think a bright red lip makes a smashing accent against this shade!

Don’t be afraid to add some some extra sparkle to your professional Linkedin photo. Minimalistic jewellery that is not distracting from your face, work best for headshots. Have fun and mix things up as you never know how things are going to pickup on camera with all the lights and action!

Environmental headshots in the Studio:

/ / / / / All the comfort with all the personality !

This year we are introducing our latest service, background clipping. Shooting against a white background, gives us the flexibility to do what most people have seen before only in films with a “green screen.” In photography we call this background masking, or clipping.

Simply think of it as a shortcut for you to get all the benefits of shooting environmentally on location, with out leaving the private and cozy studio. Please refer to our main page for more details and examples !

Corporate and Business Headshots in the Studio:

/ / / / / Professional Editing Service

Although we have an edge in fashion and acting headshots, we love to shoot corporate as well !
The benefit of going with our services is definitely that we have an eye for perfection like no other photographer, and will probably spend more time than you know, making sure your image looks spotless. For better or for worse, we see every hair our of place and every patch of discolouration, every wrinkle undesired.

The best colour to wear for your Linkedin headshots:

/ / / / / gender neutral, and positively friendly—blue!

As the morning people we are, we had the pleasure of waking up for a 9am business headshot the other day. Now I have talked about colour psychology in regards to tinted backgrounds in a previous post, but this time we’re extending the conversation even further.

So just how much blue is too much blue to wear? I’m not going to lie and say you can never have too much blue. About where we draw the line is the tie. You must bring in an element of a warm tone (even if it’s a cool-toned-warm-tone like Richard’s magenta tie in the above example). Warm and cool tones is a dichotomy that should be reflected in the clothing in order to achieve a visually balanced clothing temperature.

2019 = the year to have a Linkedin headshot:

/ / / / / your digital first impression

Just because you’re using your image for Linkedin, doesn’t mean you have to dress like you’re a google image search result. We love how Mahon, who is a recent graduate of architecture by the way, wore this casual but professional cardigan and relaxed collared shirt combination. The colour palette is still very reserved, with there being no real colour except for the blue tint we added later in photoshop for some emotional flavouring!
