/ / / / / glasses for your professional headshots?
Even if you are a daily glasses wearer, it’s not always a good enough reason to include them in your headshot! Read through our tips below when it comes to shooting with glasses in your professional portrait.
1 longevity
The first thing to consider is for how much longer you will be wearing your particular pair of frames. If you plan on updating them within the next year, it will make your headshot feel more outdated than it actually is by the time you change into a new style.
2 characteristic frames
Another thing to consider is how balanced the glasses appear with your outfit. In real life we see more of someone’s body as opposed to a headshot. Therefore thicker frames glasses (or even busy/colourful glasses) have the tendency to appear too heavy in the context of a headshot.
3 tinted glasses
Although convenient for you day to day activities, it can take up to 15 minutes or more for the effect of tinted glasses to wear off, and all that waiting doesn’t prove helpful when you may be already nervous for your headshot!
