We introduced black as part of our background options today! We anticipate this background not being used as often, but definitely contributing as a great option we recommend for realtor and acting portraits. The reason being is both those portraiture styles embody strength, contrast, and confidence, compared to a soft and friendly white backdrop (most suitable for LinkedIn business portraits).

We shot a headshot for the head of the General Indonesian Consulate. Currently on the website was low resolution cropped snapshot of him. It was interesting shooting Hadi because he didn't want to explore with many different smiles beyond a subtle smirk. Some people don't feel like smiling with their teeth represents themselves accurately, but it's all about what we're used to seeing in other photos of ourselves and in the mirror. We always encourage you to smile even at the subtlest level. This is a good example of Hadi exemplifying that thin line between stern and soft.

Throwback to using this stunning fashion portrait we took in the fall. This shimmery blouse really lit up on camera, and created some interesting effects. We enhanced the textural element by converting the image to black and white.

Marc-Andre booked a Standard Package looking get a headshot for his LinkedIn portrait. He ended up getting 4 photos, all depicting different angles and different smile intensities. He opted for a modern no tie look and no jacket look to portray a more casual and approachable vibe. Here's a cool portrait of Taylor, shot with a cool toned background and icy pale skin editing style. One thing that's interesting to notice is portraits can either be tined warm or tinted cool. Psycholoigally speaking, warm toned portraits are more received well through peoples eyes, with cooler toned images feeling more brash, yet more artistic. If you are simply looking to get a friendly portrait, warm works wonders on everyone's skin.

Professional LinkedIn Headshots
Anna is a busy woman and needed to get a professional photo for a new company she recently started working at. Our opening hours are from 9am, however she the new job has had her working around the clock making her schedule quite hectic. She asked if we were able to accommodate her at an earlier time of 8:30am. We were impressed with how lively and energetic she was in the morning!

Corporate Business Portrait
Nidos is the owner of a new company. With lots on his plate such as setting up the website and social media, he has also been working on getting all of his key staff set up with sharp professional profile pictures. Located not too far from his office, Nidos and several of his staff popped over to quickly get their headshots. We can of course accommodate travelling to offices, but with smaller teams and hectic schedules, sometimes it's best for staff to visit our studio individually.
