Rikki came in for a Quick Package and was in and out within 10 minutes. Since she was only getting 1 final edited image, we were able to narrow down the best shot on the spot. That way we avoided the process of emailing her the gallery and having her choose form home, and were able to start editing the photo sooner. Being that decisive about your picture is definitely a rare skill, and Rikki was no stranger to photoshoots, knowing her best angles before even stepping foot into the studio.
Realtor Headshot
Gurinder's husband is a realtor and she wanted to try out the industry for herself. He offered to help get her set up in his company. First things first was she needed professional headshots in a tailored suit. We chose to shoot on our soft white background which compliments everyone's complexion. Gurinder also had makeup and hair services added to her headshot. However upon looking at the photos half way throughout the shoot on the big monitor, as a personal preference she thought her hair had too much volume compared to how she wears it normally. Instead of interrupting the flow of the photoshoot in order to fix her hair, we simply adjusted the shape later in photoshop.
Corporate Headshots
Jonathan needed a couple good headshots to have for his company's website and for himself in case he decides to switch up his job in the near future. we tried a variety of options including shirt and tie changes, but this look happened to be our favourite. A modern twist which still looks very professional, the no tie look is a great way to add variation in an instant.

Jana is always on the move with her husband which means she frequently searches for new jobs to pick up part time. It's definitely a hassle to keep applying, but she enjoys being able to live in different cities and have a well rounded perspective of American and Canadian life. Her favourite outfit was this crisp blue shirt, because did you know—blue is proven to be the friendliest colour!
Professional Business Portrait
Isha needed to come in for a quick loosely shot colour photo to submit as a high resolution JPEG to her company. The photo would be converted later into black and white by the graphic design team and would be cropped to a horizontal portrait. Normally we wouldn't suggest wearing this much colour and patterns, but since Isha's photo was being outputted as a black and white, the colours won't be as distracting.
We always encourage our customers to bring as many outfits changes as they like. Different clothes can suit different purposes so it's good to have options!
Business Headshots
Kunal is a recent hire as a senior business analyst for a management consulting firm. His company required that we shoot his portrait loosely, so that they can crop it to what ever size they need later. So, we shot his portrait with a vertical orientation that had his waist and arms in the frame. As you can see here, vertical photos can become a cozy horizontal portrait with just the right crop.

Congratulations to Amy for landing a job at the Vancouver Art Gallery as a leader curator after getting her masters in art history In London. She had to submit a headshot with her application and came to us looking to get a friendly portrait worthy of submitting.
Corporate Headshots
Ben is a managing director who wanted to retake his business headshot. The photographer who took his current headshot, overdid the retouching and he felt it didn't represent how he looked in real life. He didn't mind it when it was viewed as a thumbnail size, but it certainly wasn't the best choice for his company's website. This was our best shot from the session, capturing a natural smile that occurred when we busted out some jokes to make him laugh.
