Rafal was looking to have clean studio shots that he was required to submit for an article that he was being featured in. He was sent several reference photos which he showed us, all depicting smiley and friendly photos on a bright white background, similar to a stock photo style. Although he was somewhat critical of his smile saying it was hard for him to act naturally in front of the camera, we pulled out our bag of tricks to make him grin and capture that genuine laughter.
Psychologist Portrait
We are enjoying these last few days of good weather and shooting outside while we still can. This is our favourite shot of Nija, a psychologist who recently expanded her practice and wanted some personable and friendly photos she could use for her website and marketing. We shot the entire session outdoors, using the local cafe to do quick outfit changes.
LinkedIn Portrait
Ross needed a couple variations of a simple portrait for work. He expected to be using his portrait online on LinkedIn, as well as on his personal website and marketing materials. He brought in several suit options and with his 40 minutes of shooting time, we were able to try them all out. He ended up picking photos in each different outfit. All the best with your business endeavours Ross!
Soft White Background
Ken suited our soft white background perfectly with his warm toned shirt and matching tie, all that is left for the cherry on top is a glowing smile. His photo radiates positivity and friendliness, however I distinctively remember him laughing at himself at this point (with us egging him on)! Turns out natural smiles are the best and this definitely shows it.
Author Headshot
Selwyn is an author who is coming out with a new novel to be published in print and online. He needed a variety of photos for his profile photo that ranged from more formal to more semi-casual. To be sure, we encouraged him to bring in as many wardrobe options as he'd like, and we would narrow them down on the spot.
Time-allowed, you can make up to as many wardrobe changes as you'd like. It's easy to tell if it's working or not after seeing it on our large screen monitor, which automatically synchronizes with your photoshoot to provide realtime results.
Company Headshot
Michael came in for a quick headshot that took less than 10 mins. He was not a big fan of having his photo taken, so he mustered all his strength to put on his best smile and get the shot done quickly and smoothly. He even chose the photo on the spot making the delivery date more prompt. We shot the photo loosely so that his company had freedom to crop the image however they like.
Business Portrait
Robin was sent to us to get his professional headshot taken for his company website. We did a loose composition whereby the photo could be cropped in either vertical or horizontal orientation, and be set in colour or in black and white. We kept all of our options open for their graphic design team to take utmost liberty in the final product. If your company has any image specifications such as a particular size or crop, please let us know so we can make sure to get the photo done right.
Corporate Headshots
Jelena needed a professional portrait to submit to her company website. She had a couple photos on her computer already, however they were too low resolution to be used online. She tried to contact some of her friends and family who had cameras, but in the end the whole task proved to be too much of a hassle to find the right lighting, background, and most importantly — a photo that she liked of herself! Finally her friend gave her the idea to just call and book an appointment at a photo studio to get the job done. Less than 24 hours later, she walked away with a polished and professional headshot.
