Throwback to the golden days of shooting in the studio everyday when it was winter!
Here's a cool portrait of Taylor, shot with a cool toned background and icy pale skin editing style. One thing that's interesting to notice is portraits can either be tined warm or tinted cool. Psycholoigally speaking, warm toned portraits are more received well through peoples eyes, with cooler toned images feeling more brash, yet more artistic. If you are simply looking to get a friendly portrait, warm works wonders on everyone's skin.

Happy start to the week! We thought we'd share this great shot we got of Sharon wearing one of the outfits we provided her for "elegant and professional" request. Pairing a classic pencil skirt with a sleek form fitted top, and mixing it up with a flirty cut out, shot against our creamy beige.
Professional Headshots
We had a portrait session the other day that was shot entirely in black and white. It's not often that we get to shoot a session like this, so it was a delight to see how the end results turned out. The styling had a modern aesthetic, and complemented the monochromatic tones nicely.
Fashion Portrait
The other day we shot a local model who wanted to update his portfolio by adding photos that have more of a editorial styling. His current portfolio consisted of many commercial portraits on lighter backgrounds. We kept the darker colours monochromatic and added some intrigue with a patterned tee under the blazer.
Outdoor Portrait Session
Sunny weather is finally here! Now accepting bookings for outdoor portrait, business, and fashion photoshoots. For no additional fee, we can shoot in the vicinity of the studio, which encompasses the Corktown, Canary, and Leslieville. This lovely shot was taken last year in the Underpass Park just steps from our set. Though it may not look like it, we cleaned up the background quite a bit (including deleting some passerbyers)!
Professional Fashion Portrait
In this fashion session, we aimed for an edgy yet feminine look, incorporating mermaid like waves in her hair complementing her top lining. We kept the colours warm and cool to both blend into the background and pop out against. Our makeup artist even cleverly matched the eyeshadow to her top!
Professional Fashion Photographer
Esther has been modelling for several years and wanted a boost to her portfolio. She had been a fan of Yug for some time now, and recently decided to pull all the strings together and book a session with us. We supplied her with two outfits and one hair and make up look since she got he fashion package.
Fashion Studio Portrait
This is a shot from a unique shoot we did whereby we setup a blue colour gel on the key light. White/lighter clothing is necessary for this type of lighting to be really effective. The result was a futuristic blacklight glow! We have several colours available for this kind of effect, just let us know ahead of time as preparation takes at least 30 minutes to setup.
