Michael came in for a quick headshot that took less than 10 mins. He was not a big fan of having his photo taken, so he mustered all his strength to put on his best smile and get the shot done quickly and smoothly. He even chose the photo on the spot making the delivery date more prompt. We shot the photo loosely so that his company had freedom to crop the image however they like.
Application Photo
Hamza needed a photo for a school application. Since he only needed one photo, he booked a Quick Package and after a few rounds of shooting we were all finished. By getting the express editing, he received the photo the next day by noon. One more task done off his busy to do list, we were pleased to have delivered a prompt and efficient service.
Windy Studio Portrait
We shot Charlotte's portrait in our studio the other day. Mid way through the shoot she felt the photos weren't turning out quite as she had imagined, and we quickly identified that it was because portraits taken in the studio tend to appear more formal. In order for her to achieve a more organic portrait, we decided to add a subtle breeze from our wind machine, enhancing the liveliness of the image. With one minimal change we were able to dramtically transform the feeling of the image from commercial to organic.
We always encourage our subjects to review the photos in between rounds so that we can make adjustments where necessary. With your on set feedback we are able to make a variety of changes including the crop, softening the lighting, adding contrast or more shadows, changing the shooting orientation, and more.
Fashion Studio Portrait
Laura had her portrait taken on our medium grey background, which complements every skin tone and hair colour. Opposed to white, we recommend people shoot on our grey background when aiming to add more depth and personality to the image. This is because of the fact that the shadows in the background give a subtle realness instead of being completely blown out from the light. We shot this photo loosely and cropped it later to her liking so that her features would appear more visually striking.
Portfolio Headshots
Patricia is a cheerful young lady who wanted to try her hand at modelling. Being it was her first photoshoot, she had no idea what to expect. Hair and makeup was kept simple to appeal to her natural features. When building up your portfolio, it's good to be shown as a blank canvas so that people can visualize you in their designs.
Outdoor Portrait
Gather your confidence and book an outdoor session while the weather is still with us!
Moe wanted an approachable garden green background and we found the perfect spot for that just across the bridge from the studio. The alleyway shades the sun while still emitting a gentle natural glow on the skin (extra golden effects happen when you shoot during or around sunset time!). Don't hesitate to ask us if you have any questions regarding to when and where is ideal for your session.
Fashion Portrait
Chloe is an aspiring model/actress who booked our Short Fashion Package aiming to get a couple nice photos for her portfolio. It was her first time shooting in a professional environment, so she was also testing out the whole process to see if it suits her, or if acting is more up her alley. Based on her reference photos, we prepared a low key casual look using a crisp relaxed fit shirt, slim cigarette jeans with a loose hem, paired with cozy peep toe pumps. Whatever path you end up going down, we wish you success Chloe!
Business Portrait
Robin was sent to us to get his professional headshot taken for his company website. We did a loose composition whereby the photo could be cropped in either vertical or horizontal orientation, and be set in colour or in black and white. We kept all of our options open for their graphic design team to take utmost liberty in the final product. If your company has any image specifications such as a particular size or crop, please let us know so we can make sure to get the photo done right.
