Wendy booked our Complete Package which gave her ultimate flexibility in changing her outfit, changing the background, and changing her pose. It may sound overwhelming to have a 1 hour photoshoot, but you’d be surprised at how the momentum picks up once you start nailing a couple shots and building confidence! She shot most of her images against the light grey, which we recommend as the most flattering background for all skin tones.

We shot Roni the other day, an actor amongst other things, who booked our Complete Package with unlimited outfit changes. He wanted to cover a business look during his session, so we tried this modern tieless modern and urban look. We love how the black background really sets a moody tone without him having too strong of an expression to convey that. And we always love a crisp white shirt to energize the image and provide some clean colour blocking!

Lina emailed us enquiring to get a quick LinkedIn headshot. She had attached a photo in her email depicting the lighting style she liked in someone else’s portrait. We love changing things up, so we always encourage you to customize your session if you have something particular in mind. After analyzing the reference image she sent, our photographer Yugo recreated the lighting setup. Let’s see if you spot the difference between this shot and our regular LinkedIn headshots!

Here’s an example of our favourite background to use for just this scenario, the alternative classic, light grey. Most clothing and skin tones will blend well with this colour. It’s suggested you wear something bright or dark for a pop of contrast, like this crisp collared shirt that Fatima opted for in her LinkedIn headshot the other day.

Sleek and black, this tall stool is subtle enough to blend into most backgrounds, all the while giving you a bit of a lift. With a bit of elevation, your legs appear more casual and relaxed, which there fore comes across on the expression in your portrait. Although not recommend for your main LinkedIn headshot, it’s still a great option to have if you’re booking anything from our Standard Package upwards.
