Robin was sent to us to get his professional  headshot taken for his company website. We did a loose composition whereby the photo could be cropped in either vertical or horizontal orientation, and be set in colour or in black and white. We kept all of our options open for their graphic design team to take utmost liberty in the final product. If your company has any image specifications such as a particular size or crop, please let us know so we can make sure to get the photo done right.

Location Shoot

Tucked away just over the Leslieville bridge (5 minutes from our studio), there a uniquely textured, private alleyway with the perfect lighting for sunny and overcast days. We shot Max's portrait, who was only in town for a work seminar for a month. He was from New York so he wanted to have a brick/textured background that still resembled his current place of residence. We don't charge extra for on location session shot nearby the studio. Just let us know what type of background you are looking for and we'll be sure to hunt for the best places to shoot at.

Sydney got styled in a neutral colour palette, inspired by the tones of her freckles and milky brown hair. Denim added a nice casual touch, and the off white colour made the piece blend in with out distracting the viewer's eye. We started off with lighter makeup, and added darker inner liner as the shoot went on for an edgier look.

Corporate Headshots

Jelena needed a professional portrait to submit to her company website. She had a couple photos on her computer already, however they were too low resolution to be used online. She tried to contact some of her friends and family who had cameras, but in the end the whole task proved to be too much of a hassle to find the right lighting, background, and most importantly — a photo that she liked of herself! Finally her friend gave her the idea to just call and book an appointment at a photo studio to get the job done. Less than 24 hours later, she walked away with a polished and professional headshot.

Throwback to our session with Mark, who came in for a Standard Package aiming to get a couple nice photos he could share with his family (since he had just graduated from the University of Guelph!) We recommended he shoot on our textured grey background, which added a subtle character thats's perfect for that graduation vibe. Since portraits are usually gentler than headshots, coloured clothing is often preferred as it contains nice emotional content. Of course not all colours are made equal, thats why we help on the spot to decide which variation would look best next. Feel free to ask us questions before hand, or bring your whole wardrobe!

Katelyn was a lovely 16 year old who we had the pleasure of shooting her first photoshoot with us. She got our hair and makeup services but let our artists do the creative work with how to style her. We always believe less is more, so our team had her all dolled up in a very natural way which emphasized her youthful skin and full lips. After seeing her makeover, she made a funny remark that her 1/4 Japanese background shone through at full power! :)

Acting and Talent Photoshoot

Mary is a young talent with a bright future ahead of her. Interested in modelling and acting, we shot in a few outfits with a wide variety of poses, standing, sitting, front, side, back, indoors, outdoors—you name it! Out of all the final images she selected, we liked this one the best. Her elegant posing skills came from her background in dance, though not essential to become a good model, it is still a very good skill to have.

Self-Styled Fashion Photoshoot

Throwback to the self styled session we had where Paluvisha a few months ago. She planned out the outfits she would be wearing but just in case, brought lots of options if her vision didn't pan out as expected. We were really impressed with how well thought out her looks were. One of our personal tricks to make an outfit instantly fashionable is to use mesh, since it displays the skin in a graphically subtle way. Believe us when we say high fashion is all about showing different parts of the skin !!
