Acting and Talent Photoshoot

Mary is a young talent with a bright future ahead of her. Interested in modelling and acting, we shot in a few outfits with a wide variety of poses, standing, sitting, front, side, back, indoors, outdoors—you name it! Out of all the final images she selected, we liked this one the best. Her elegant posing skills came from her background in dance, though not essential to become a good model, it is still a very good skill to have.

Noelle is an aspiring talent who wanted some stylish, bright and cheerful photos. Now that its finally summer, it's much easier to book your shoot in advance without the risk of having to reschedule to due weather conditions. We shot on location just outside the studio grounds, so we didn't have to waste any shooting time travelling to various locations.

Self-Styled Fashion Photoshoot

Throwback to the self styled session we had where Paluvisha a few months ago. She planned out the outfits she would be wearing but just in case, brought lots of options if her vision didn't pan out as expected. We were really impressed with how well thought out her looks were. One of our personal tricks to make an outfit instantly fashionable is to use mesh, since it displays the skin in a graphically subtle way. Believe us when we say high fashion is all about showing different parts of the skin !!

We shot this portrait on a lovely custom army green shade which was tweaked and desaturated later in photoshop. We helped pick out this shade since it matched his skin tone well. When colours are next to each other they exchange information, so it was imperative that the colour of the set appear friendly with his natural skin tone.

Get in your summer skin and book a classic portrait session to show off your fit physique (don't worry, we'll take care of the tan lines!). Give us a call and ask us how you can customize your session.

Silver, mesh, and a soft pastel make for a hard and edgy yet feminine look. Chloe had such beautiful tan skin the silver really popped against it. Believe it or not, this young lady puts on sunscreen several times daily, yet can't help but tan as she is a lifeguard by day. The background for this session was painted a gentle grey with the slightest tint of green.

Rikki came in for a Quick Package and was in and out within 10 minutes. Since she was only getting 1 final edited image, we were able to narrow down the best shot on the spot. That way we avoided the process of emailing her the gallery and having her choose form home, and were able to start editing the photo sooner. Being that decisive about your picture is definitely a rare skill, and Rikki was no stranger to photoshoots, knowing her best angles before even stepping foot into the studio.

George needed a few photos to update his profile picture on various work related sites, as well as a professionally lit portrait for his personal usage. He planned three outfits changes which he was able to get through in the 40 mins of shooting time in the Standard Package. We set up our fashion lighting for his session which is a bit edgier and more contrasty than our soft portrait lighting.  We loved his sharp and unique style, and how the beige suit popped perfectly against the monotone background.

Realtor Headshot

Gurinder's husband is a realtor and she wanted to try out the industry for herself. He offered to help get her set up in his company. First things first was she needed professional headshots in a tailored suit. We chose to shoot on our soft white background which compliments everyone's complexion. Gurinder also had makeup and hair services added to her headshot. However upon looking at the photos half way throughout the shoot on the big monitor, as a personal preference she thought her hair had too much volume compared to how she wears it normally. Instead of interrupting the flow of the photoshoot in order to fix her hair, we simply adjusted the shape later in photoshop.
