We met Rene and his family the other day, who made the trek from all different ends of the city to get their portrait taken. It was something that Rene had wanted to do for a while, so they were happy to have found a day that worked with everyone's busy schedule. They ended up ordered large sized prints of a few of the photos, so we made sure to take extra care in the editing process, so there would be no distracting bits of dust and hair visible when enlarged.
Fashion Studio Portrait
This is a shot from a unique shoot we did whereby we setup a blue colour gel on the key light. White/lighter clothing is necessary for this type of lighting to be really effective. The result was a futuristic blacklight glow! We have several colours available for this kind of effect, just let us know ahead of time as preparation takes at least 30 minutes to setup.
Professional Musician Portrait
Bryn is a local artist who also runs his own business teaching harmonica lessons. He also had plans to release an album in the coming weeks so he needed content for print and digital purposes.
Since Bryn had a particular vision for this project, he brought his own props in, and we assited him in carrying everything up to the studio. After a few rounds of tweaking the objects around, we were ready to shoot! Since he knew what type of an image he wanted, the trickiest part of this shoot turned out to be the background styling.

We had a portrait session with this lovely young lady. Her mother booked the session in order to get some shots printed and framed for her grandmother's birthday gift. She ordered additional beauty services, and took the liberty of preparing inspiration to describe a natural yet glamorous look. Our artist was able to play around with lots of colour gradients since she had such big eyes to work with! Hope she loved the gift Laura!

Samer was interested in applying himself to acting and commercial modelling gigs. Being midway through university, he had some spare time to pursuing his potential as a talent part time on the weekends. This is our favourite clean shot we got from his very first, and hopefully not last photoshoot! All the best of luck with your future endeavours Samer!

With the right amount of colour grading in post production, a standard grey background can have a sudden warm twist. This looks especially great on those with lighter toned hair as demonstrated in this shot we took in the studio with soft fashion lighting. A touch of wind and a gentle eye squint and the shot was nailed!
Realtor Business Headshots
Gurinder's husband is a realtor and she wanted to try out the industry for herself. He offered to help get her set up in his company. First things first was she needed professional headshots in a tailored suit. We chose to shoot on our soft white background which compliments everyone's complexion. Gurinder also had makeup and hair services added to her headshot. However upon looking at the photos half way throughout the shoot on the big monitor, as a personal preference she thought her hair had too much volume compared to how she wears it normally. Instead of interrupting the flow of the photoshoot in order to fix her hair, we simply adjusted the shape later in photoshop.
