Business headshot
Ben is a managing director who wanted to retake his business headshot. The photographer who took his current headshot, overdid the retouching and he felt it didn't represent how he looked in real life. He didn't mind it when it was viewed as a thumbnail size, but it certainly wasn't the best choice for his company's website. This was our best shot from the session, capturing a natural smile that occurred when we busted out some jokes to make him laugh.
We had the lovely Natalie join us for a studio portrait session. She had a golden tan that we emphasized in post production, as well as with a creamy beige background. Pairing it with a deep blue tank made he warm and cool tones contrast in a clean and crisp way. A little gust of wind made for a subtly organic accent.
Domenic was looking to get a headshot for his website and to update his LinkedIn page.
He debated back and forth on whether or not he should add grooming services to his package. In the end, he decided against it after we mentioned that we would take care of blemishes in post production.
In Domenic's case, since he was only concerned about a couple problem spots, it was an easy fix in photoshop. Although it's true that we do retouching on every photo, which includes taking care of redness or acne on the skin, we can't deny that it is a useful upgrade that helps people feel confident and camera ready. Rebecca came in the other day and needed a quick headshot to get done, by which we mean she needed it the next day! Luckily, we were able to fit in a rush order for 3 photos in 24 hour turn around time. Melanie is a green health and beauty lover who we took this lovely portrait of in our studio against our soft textured background. An aesthetician based in Toronto, she is passionate about educating others with her organic wisdom. We assisted in the fashion styling for this particular shoot, and picked lots of soft pink and lighter toned pieces to keep everything in the mood for summer. This particular outfit looked suited our textured background so well as it was the cleanest and most approachable with no distracting designs. All the best with your business Melanie, it was a pleasure working with such a beautiful person inside and out!

Tammy is the Executive Director of a corporate events company, and needed some updated headshots to post on her website and use for promotional content. She booked a hair and make up artist who stayed for the session to do touchups and comb through the hair, which often gets ruffled around due to the posing and tilting. Though she brought many outfit variations, in the end she opted for a warm toned colour palette against a mature grey background.

Summer weather is finally here, and the days of burying ourselves in the studio are over!
Here's a photo we took of Mark who booked our Exclusive Package for his portrait session. With up to 2 hours of shooting time, we were able to walk to various locations around the studio and try all sorts of backgrounds from trees, to bricks, to concrete.
Please be advised that due to changing weather conditions, outdoor sessions are not always possible. If that happens to be the case with your shoot, we are happy to reschedule to a later date.

Sydney is a creative young artist who we recently had a session with in our studio. We love this creamy warm coloured background for a dewy summer feel. Sydney got her hair styled in a sleek yet organic textured way, and our make up artist Sherlyn Torres did a stunning job of keeping this look natural and very sun kissed.
